Contemporary Figurative Artist
Pranav Kaushal is an Indian contemporary figurative artist whose practice explores identity, femininity, social conditioning, vulnerability and liberation through figurative painting, mixed media and installation.
The human figure occupies a central position in his work. Grounded in an understanding of human anatomy and visual narrative, Kaushal places controlled figurative forms within expressive environments of colour, gesture and material. This creates a dynamic tension between the individual and the world surrounding them.
His figurative works explore the emotional and psychological dimensions of the human experience, often questioning how identity is shaped, perceived and expressed. Through his engagement with femininity and vulnerability, his work creates space for reflection on strength, freedom and individuality.
Kaushal’s practice extends beyond the traditional canvas through mixed media and installation, where space, material and environment become integral to the artistic experience. His continuous experimentation with techniques and materials allows his visual language to evolve across different mediums.
His work has been exhibited internationally across India, the United States, Europe, the UAE and Singapore.
